Professional services (tax accountants / CPAs / law firms / labor consultants)Remote work for professional service firms,
without compromising client confidentiality.
Financial statements, tax returns, personal identification numbers, case files — information that cannot leave the office. ForceLink connects staff from home or on the road to in-office files and systems, while limiting each person to only the resources they actually need.
"We want convenience, but we cannot risk a leak."
No safe way to connect to accounting software or client documents from home.
Connections are made with a shared login, so there is no record of who accessed what.
Former staff, part-time staff, and contractors tend to retain access after leaving — a persistent worry.
Uncertain about meeting confidentiality obligations, industry security rules, and personal-data protection requirements.
Segment client data
by staff member.
You define "who connects to which in-office resource." Even after the VPN tunnel is up, the full internal LAN is not opened — only the permitted destinations are reachable (feature: internal resource and route control).
- Permit each user only the destinations they need — accounting server, client documents, etc.
- The admin console is not permanently exposed to the internet, reducing the attack surface
- Key-based connections. With the standard Windows app, private keys are generated and stored on the device only
- Revoke access immediately from the admin console when someone leaves or changes role
* Illustrative example. In-office systems are scoped per staff member and role.
Operated in a domestic data center.
The cloud relay runs in a domestic (Japan) data center — not overseas — making it straightforward to know where data resides. The service is operated by Forcenet Co., Ltd., a Japanese company.
Designed to support the security practices
required of professional service firms.
Under the Japan Federation of Bar Associations Information Security Regulations (effective June 2024), law firms are required to establish basic security practices for handling information. Tax accountants are subject to internal governance and management guidelines from the Japan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' Associations; both are underpinned by the safety-management obligations of Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information. ForceLink provides the access-control layer to put those obligations into practice.

Common questions from professional service firms.
Can a firm with no dedicated IT staff deploy ForceLink?
Yes. Forcenet handles the complex parts — cloud setup and initial ForceLink BOX configuration. Your firm places the ForceLink BOX, then distributes invitation codes to users.
Is it acceptable to handle confidential client data from outside the office?
Internal resource and route control lets you scope each user's connection to only the servers and folders they need. The admin console is not permanently exposed to the internet, and the cloud relay runs in a domestic (Japan) data center. We do not promise absolute security, and we are honest about what the service does and does not cover.
Can ForceLink help with the Japan Federation of Bar Associations information security rules or the Personal Information Protection Act?
ForceLink supports the access-control dimension of the basic security practices required by those rules and laws (e.g., the JFBA Information Security Regulations effective June 2024 and equivalent guidelines for tax accountants). Whether a deployment meets those requirements is determined by the overall operational practices of each firm; this service alone does not constitute compliance. Please contact us to discuss specific requirements.
Does ForceLink support multi-factor authentication (MFA) or Mac?
The standard client is a dedicated Windows app; connections are key-based. MFA is currently under consideration (not yet available). Mac and smartphone access is handled on a case-by-case basis. If MFA is a hard requirement, please consult us before starting.
